Bacon-Wrapped Honey Mustard Drumsticks

This recipe is incredibly easy and only calls for a few ingredients that you probably already have on hand! I like to whip these out after a long day when I all I want to do is stick something in the oven, relax and enjoy a glass of wine.

There are so many variations of marinades/dips you can create for this recipe. Honey mustard is what we already had in the pantry, but a homemade BBQ, buffalo or teriyaki sauce would be just as delicious! And if you prefer the chicken without bacon or only have a few pieces leftover from the weekend (like us!), leave it off or wrap just a few of them for a special treat! 

Serve these with a simple salad, sweet potato fries, or just eat them by themselves. This is a meal that adults and kids will enjoy!

Bacon-Wrapped Honey Mustard Drumsticks

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Cook Time: 45 Minutes

Ingredients (Serves 3-4)

  • 2 lbs chicken drumsticks
  • 4 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon coconut aminos (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1-2 packages of bacon (1 piece per drumstick)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

preheat oven to 400F

Place a wire rack on top of a baking sheet and put drumsticks on rack

Mix up ingredients for honey mustard marinade/dip and split into 2 bowls

Baste drumsticks with 1/2 of the marinade and wrap in slice of bacon

Place in oven for 40-45 minutes

Use remaining honey mustard for dipping and enjoy!
